ServiSwift unveils TaxiDo App to transform urban mobility

ServiSwift has unveiled a new digital taxi application called TaxiDo which is aimed at improving transport efficiency and addressing mobility challenges in urban areas in the country.

In an interview with 247 Malawi News,ServiSwift Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rachel Mijiga said the application has been under development since 2023 and is designed to connect drivers and passengers through mobile devices.

“The application is safe and provides real-time online tracking of a hired taxi’s movement. Passengers will also be able to choose a vehicle of their preference and pay according to the type of car they select,” said Mijiga.

She added that TaxiDo will enable users to easily request taxis of their choice through their mobile phones, improving convenience and accessibility in transport services.

Mijiga further revealed that 186 drivers have already registered on the platform, which is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

She said the innovation is part of its broader vision to modernize transport services in Malawi through digital solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and user experience.

Mijiga concluded by calling for increased innovation in the country, saying it is essential in providing practical solutions to everyday challenges facing communities.
