Salima-based reggae artist Simple Chicco is preparing to make a strong return to the music scene with the release of his new album, Mkazi Wa Loti, expected at the end of this month.
The reggae musician confirmed the development in an interview with 247 Malawi News, describing the upcoming project as a significant chapter in his musical journey.
According to Chicco, Mkazi Wa Loti will combine reggae with indigenous Malawian sounds to create a distinctive musical experience.
He said the album goes beyond entertainment, carrying messages that reflect his artistic vision and connect with everyday life.

“The album is dropping this month, with only good vibes, real messages and pure reggae energy. Get ready to feel the music, live the moment and spread the love,” said Chicco.
The artist’s return comes after a period in which his fans have been eagerly waiting for new music from him.
Chicco said his followers have repeatedly been asking when he would release another project, a demand he says has now been answered through Mkazi Wa Loti.
“I have been asked by fans when I will give them something new, and now their requests have been answered,” he said.
The musician also expressed gratitude to his supporters for remaining loyal and patient as he worked on the new material.
He believes the support from his fanbase has played an important role in motivating him to continue creating music.
Upon its release, Mkazi Wa Loti will be available on major online music streaming platforms.
The availability of the album on digital platforms is expected to give Chicco an opportunity to reach listeners beyond Malawi and introduce his sound to an international audience.
Simple Chicco has previously released songs including Kokoliliko and Voice Mail, among other tracks.
With Mkazi Wa Loti, the Salima-based artist is expected to build on his reggae identity while introducing a fresh blend of Malawian traditional sounds and contemporary reggae.
