Revolutionary leader of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, has claimed that corruption in Malawi has become a forminable power that cannot be challenged ev even in court of laws because the country adopted savage democracy.
Jumah said savage democracy cannot stop corruption saying the nation is continuing grappling for 62 years of independence making the country to have limited social progress.
He has called on Malawians to address the root cause of corruption by themselves and not politicians by looking around them to find David in the bush to kill Goliath.
Speaking through the Revolutionary voice, Jumah said to find David from the bushes to confront corruption, the country requires to move away from savage democracy to Administrative Meritocratic Democracy for the country’s resources to be well managed in the interest of all Malawians.
Jumah said no strategic tool can defeat corruption in Malawi, the country just need David, a catapult and a stone to kill Goliath after doing this the country will register meaning development projects.
He said the future of Malawi needs collectiveness to defeat corruption claiming that external partners, donors, the British, the Americans will never help the country to defeat corruption.
The Revolutionary leader said the country needs unity of purpose, the people must be united with one common goal to defeat Goliath saying it is possible to defeat Goliath, what the country need is David, a catapult and a stone assuring Malawians that it is only Bantu Saunders Jumah who can be David from the bush.
He has called on Malawians to wake – up and open their eyes saying the call is before them to redefine their democracy, observing that national purpose requires unity to kill Goliath.
“A nation that fails to identify its core challenge, will not address it, unite together and posses power to defeat Goliath,” said Jumah.
He has lamented that over the past 32 years, six governments and six presidents promised to combat corruption saying corruption is sitting on the presidential chair, Ministers chair not by accident, it is systematically planned.
Jumah has observed that in Malawi, democracy has created a fertile ground to consolidate power saying those who challenge corruption face consequences one being police arrest and imprisonment giving an example of an activist or whistleblower, they suffer intimidations.
He has finally advised Malawians to commit to rebuild their country by collective aspirations and discipline leaders like David who used a catapult and a stone to kill Goliath.
