Ntcheu Central East Member of Parliament (MP) Norman Chisale has distributed 3,000 bags of maize flour to vulnerable households in Group Village Headman Chigwalugwalu, under Traditional Authority (T/A) Champiti, as part of efforts to ease food challenges in the area.

Each household received a 10-kilogramme bag, with the legislator pledging to extend the distribution exercise to other parts of the constituency next week.

In a separate development, Chisale has also rehabilitated a tap water system at Hawu Primary School at a cost of K2.6 million, restoring access to water for the school community.

Speaking during the maize flour distribution exercise, Chisale said the interventions are part of his responsibility to the people who elected him to Parliament.

“People here voted for me, so I have to deliver accordingly. I want to fulfil my manifestos within my term,” he said.

Chisale reaffirmed his commitment to implementing development initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of people across Ntcheu Central East.
