Three-time National Beach Soccer Championship winners Beach Eagles of Nkhata Bay have been handed a challenging Group A draw for the 2025 national finals scheduled for this weekend at Arnold Resort in Nkhotakota.
The former champions will battle it out with Karonga-based Peninsula and Vinthenga of Nkhotakota in what is expected to be a highly competitive group.

Group B comprises hosts Rank of Nkhotakota, Nkopola from Mangochi, and Umodzi of Salima.
Speaking during the national draw held at Mpira Village in Chiwembe Township, Blantyre on Tuesday, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Competitions and Licensing Manager Clement Kafwafwa said the association anticipates exciting and competitive matches during the tournament.
He said the competition will be played in a round-robin format, with each team set to play two group-stage matches.
Said Kafwafwa:”The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.”
According to the tournament format, the winner of Group A will face the runner-up from Group B, while the winner of Group B will take on the runner-up from Group A.
Victors in the semi-final matches will advance to the final to compete for the championship title, while the losing sides will contest the third-place playoff.
