Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya has welcomed the launch of the K300 million 2026 Central Region Football Association (CRFA) GOJET Investments Division One League, describing it as another significant milestone in the development of football in the country.

Speaking during the official launch at Kasungu Stadium on Sunday, Haiya said the continued growth of regional football is encouraging, noting that it remains the foundation of the country’s football development pathway.

He commended GOJET Investments for partnering with the Central Region Football Association(CRFA) to sponsor the league, saying the investment demonstrates a strong commitment to the growth and development of the game.

Haiya also praised the CRFA for successfully organizing what he described as a colourful and well-coordinated launch event, saying it reflected the professionalism and progress being made at the regional level.

“As we continue transforming the game, we never rest because football is every day,” he said.

The MK300 million sponsorship is expected to boost competition in the Central Region Division One League while providing more opportunities for clubs and players to develop and progress within Malawi’s football structures.
