Kalindo warns of more revelations as he criticises politicians over supporters

By Vincent Gunde

Political activist Bon Kalindo has warned that more revelations about what he describes as previously undisclosed issues in the country will emerge, saying some people will be disappointed and frustrated by what may come to light.

Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo says some of his previous prophecies are now coming to pass, despite some people initially dismissing him as a mad man.

He claims that millions of people have since realised that he is the person sent to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Kalindo says once he open his church, many people will have left their respective churches to join him, arguing that his prophecies are increasingly proving to be accurate.

He also claims that some people who sacrificed their lives to support the change of government from the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are now being forgotten and unappreciated.

He says some supporters used to provide security for aspiring Members of Parliament(MPs )until the early hours of the morning, but that some of those politicians are now serving as ministers in the DPP-led government while the people who supported them are struggling outside government.

Kalindo says some ministers have instead surrounded themselves with security personnel drawn from their children, friends and relatives, forgetting those who stood with them before they attained power.

“Time is ticking, 2030 is not far from today, they will still need the very same people they used and dumped to support them in their quest to return back into government,” says Kalindo.

He blames some youths for allowing themselves to be used by politicians in exchange for K20,000, saying some politicians will abandon them and will return with money when they need their support during the 2030 elections.

Kalindo has advised people who he says suffer after being used and abandoned by politicians not to support those politicians in the 2030 elections.

He also has criticised what he describes as the failure by some politicians in government to remember the people who helped them attain their positions, saying those in government are benefiting while some of their supporters struggle to meet their daily needs.

In the same audio clip, Kalindo has accused mobile phone companies TNM and Airtel of continuing to profit from Malawians through what he describes as unreliable networks and rapidly expiring units and bundles.

He questions the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) over what he says is inadequate action on complaints from customers.

Kalindo has since praised police officers for rescuing British-born Nusrat Osman from kidnappers at Mpemba in Blantyre, urging the police to provide similar protection to Malawians facing kidnapping and related security challenges.
