Human rights lawyer and Activist Dr. Alexious Kamangila, says while the parliamentary adhoc committee is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of the former Vice President Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, his belief is pointing out to be a plane accident.
Kamangila said beside the plane accident, there was criminal negligence in the matter saying some MDF officers could have lost their jobs and others arrested, some government officials to be investigated in a murder investigations as this was involving a military plane.
He said some other people could have been held accountable for criminal negligence but this did not happen for the reasons best explained by the government of that time.

The Activist said he has a theory which is yet to be investigated to prove beyond reasonable doubts that Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others were killed.
He has reminded Malawians that the plane spent a night at the Mzuzu airport after taking the body of the late Lawyer Ralph Kasambala for burial in Nkhatabay saying he suspects that terrorists boarded the plane in advance and as the plane started off from Lilongwe, these terrorists did their work on them.
” Anyone is entitled to have his theory or suspicion, but my belief is that it was an accident,” said Kamangila.
He said the Vice President was traveling in with two or three security officers and the pilot herself was a soldier, saying these people could have done lwhat was best for them to protect the Vice President looking at the movement of the plane which later crashed.
Counsel Silvester Ayuba James has raised a critical question to all Malawians and the parliamentary adhoc committee that he would have loved to have the crashed plane either preserved there at the crash site for eternity questioning why cutting the plane into pieces claiming that the plane was a subject matter of an investigation?
Ayuba James has claimed that the plane was still subject of investigation and those who cut the wreckage to pieces did so in bad faith with the view and intendment to sabotaging any ongoing investigations.
He said according to Times newspaper, the MDF in their wisdom, dismembered the wreckage by removing it from the crash site to ease transportation to Zomba for the purpose of history, the plane was tampered with, something of investigative value with respect to the crash was still pending.
