Lilongwe Police have arrested a 42-year-old man in connection with robbery and rape case that occured in Area 46, in may this year.
The Suspect is identified as Boston Maxson Chamveka who is also populary known as Kamajombo was arrested on August, 21, 2026, at around 17:00hours during an intelligence based operation conducted by Lilongwe Police detectives at Devil Street.
During the incident four masked criminals, armed with pangas, metal bars and a hammer broke into a house in Area 46 and during the incident two criminals allegedly raped a 28-year-old woman, one after another in full view of her husband and childrens.

The criminals also went away with K420 thousand cash, three bicycles, a fan, a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone and an intel keypad phone.
Lilongwe police earlier arrested another suspect, Chisomo Harold who was prosecuted and sentenced to 90 years imprisonment with hard labour.
Chamveka was mentioned by the first suspect as one of the criminals who allegedly raped the victim
Following his arrest, the suspect told the detectives that his accomplices were staying at a criminal camp in the bush in Area 47, sector one.
Detectives proceeded to the suspected campsite in an attempt to arrest the other suspects but upon arrival, the suspects reportedly fled into the bush, but was later arrested.
Chamveka will appear before court soon to answer charges of robbery and rape.
Boston Maxson Chamveka hails from Chilimimba Village, Traditional Authority Kayembe in Dowa district.
