Malawi Congress Party Kasungu Central Member of Parliament, Chikondi Kampachike Chisale, has described grassroots MCP structures as a strong foundation for rebuilding a strong party ahead of the 2030 general elections.
Speaking during an interface meeting with the Kasungu Central Constituency Committee, Kampachike Chisale said he has strategized ways to frequently engage all party structures in his area.
He stated that regular engagement is necessary to ensure the party remains significant and accommodative to its members and supporters.

The MP asked delegates and aspiring candidates for the upcoming district elections to ensure they demonstrate the values of the MCP.
He said he would work with all successful candidates in returning the party back to government in 2030.
“There is no need to de-campaign each other after any election because that only weakens the party,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Constituency Chairperson, Yolamu Chimbalame, has hailed the MP for the approach.
Chimbalame emphasized that the engagement has empowered them to strengthen MCP membership at the community level.
