“The success lifestyle” New book by Waxye Nation
According to Peterborough based Mphwathe “The Success Lifestyle is not a ‘how to get rich’ book, but rather a how-to ‘become’ rich book. Finding abundance not only in the material things the world has to offer, but also in the spiritual, emotional, and mental benefits of our world that most people do not pay attention to”
He says his book is a useful tool for anyone who wishes to achieve and become more – in the areas of their self-defined goals. It integrates radical approaches of developing oneself and its select and simplified methods focus on the abilities that every person equally possesses yet benefits differently. It highlights the incredible creation of when ‘positive thinking’ meets ‘positive action’.

The St. Columba CCAP of Balantyre Synod and the political parties led by the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) today paid their last respect to the departed veteran politician Mrs. Roseby Dinala popularly known as Mai Dinala at a ceremony that took place at St. Columba CCAP before her burial at Chitawira cemetery in Blantyre.
Preaching the word of God from the book of Luke chapter 1:26-37 during the send-off of late Dinala, the moderator of St. Columba CCAP, Rev. Leonard Mmangisa said Mai Dinala was a strong woman who stood by her conviction both spiritually and politically. He added that Mai Dinala was a servant of God who fulfilled what God sent her to do while on Earth and so committed to her party regardless of the cost.
Making his sorrowful speech, the state president of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera mourned Roseby Dinala by describing Dinala as a woman of Passion, Action and positive Reaction all the time owing this to her dedication to God. Malawi’s leader added that she was a woman who interacted with all ages of people and that her life is worthy celebrating. Chakwera further mourned Mai Dinala as one of the figures that represented the existence and strength of the Malawi Congress Party to-date because of her courage and that her demise has left a big gap in advisory role to MCP leadership and a party as a whole.
Among notable faces include Rev. Moyenda Kanjewa who is the deputy Secretary General for CCAP, Blantyre Synod, first lady of the Republic of Malawi, Madam Monica Chakwera, Hon. Sidik Mia(Min. of Transport), Hon. Michael Usi(Min. of Culture), MCP’ campaign director Moses Kumkuyu, Mai. Hilda Manjamkhosi (another renown veteran for MCP) and many others. During the funeral ceremony of Mai Dinala all precautions to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic were strictly observed despite the presence of the state president.

In the heat of campaign period and with Malawi Political climate agitating for change, Malawians living in Diaspora unleashed a voice that became harder to suppress or ignore. Indeed, in the past years we have observed the involvement of Malawians living abroad in the political discourse, but never in a large and influential scale like the 2019 and 2020 elections. One activists worthy mentioning in the struggle is Nic Thindwa, a music artist who decided to use his music talent to see justice and liberation for Malawi in what was described as the struggle to unseat the DPP/Mutharika regime.
Prior to the elections of 2019 and 2020, Nic Thindwa was just a Rap and Rnb artist focusing on his music and singing about love. Born Nicholas Thindwa Is a Malawian artist Based in Birmingham UK. He confessed early in his career that his aim was to become Malawi’s biggest export musically. He indeed unleashed a number of singles such as Ndikuchengete , Banja Nkupilira, chamufilimu – It is however the passion for his country that led Thindwa to temporarily halt singing about love and romance but join the bandwagon of young warriors armed with their talent and belief to help Malawi get liberated “I couldn’t help it, the situation in Malawi was getting worse. I saw my fellow Malawians suffering under the DPP regime, my fellow youths couldn’t find a job and jobs were only being given to certain people, there was ever increasing corruption, enough was enough and I had to do something to help “
Musician/Political activist Nic Thindwa
The frustrations and anger caused by the regime of Peter Mutharika and DPP made Nic Thindwa become a political activist s “ I am not a first musician to become a political activists and neither will I be the last one – Music gives us a platform to speak out again the ills in society and it is the only God given talent that I can use to make an impact” he argued. Thindwa found himself joining Malawi Congress Party Diaspora Network, a group of Malawians in diaspora affiliated with Malawi Congress Party
Asked why he choose to get involved with MCP Diaspora, Thindwa claims the leadership of Dr Lazarus Chakwera made it easy for him to make his choice. “ Mind you it was a difficult moment when I decided to get involved in politics, DPP were claiming to be a system and that they cant lose any election, however , I had so much faith in Dr Chakwera as a God fearing leader and I saw it from far that he was earmarked for the Malawi Presidency” Thindwa said another thing that inspired him is the team work that was there within the MCP community in diaspora “MCP Diaspora and talking of the UK chapter where I belong to has been a real brotherhood, working together as one family with one common goal of getting DPP out of power. The Diaspora UK leaders like Allan Mandindi, Chalo Mvula, Nelson Ngulube ,Patricia Chimangeni ,Grace Tucker ,Mphatso Mainala and Chris Chaima Banda and many others welcomed me and gave me a platform to use my talent to advance the MCP agenda”.
During the campaign period, Thindwa became a household name with his signature kwasakwasa singles that promoted Dr Chakwera Presidency. Alongside his music partner Pon G he delivered campaign songs such as Yalira Ng’oma, alamulire, Tikufuna Chakwera , Osaopa among other hit singles . Thidwa said the Diaspora adopted social media as its main tool to add firepower to the MCP campaign on the ground. In executing this strategy the artist relied on released his music singles with accompanying music videos . After the agreement for Tonse alliance was finally formalised, Thindwa released another smash hit “Tipambana” which he did alongside Gospel music songbird Rudo Chakwera.
Asked on what’s next for Thindwa after the Tonse win, the artist cum activists said his political journey is not over . He argued that he will forever remain a music artist but is now geared to help Tonse Government fulfil the promises they made to Malawians in their manifesto. “ I am now part of the government and to us now its time for action so that we make a difference to the life of Malawians. Malawi is on the right track , the president and his government has started well and a lot of Malawians have hope”
The artist promised that he will work on a new single to thank Malawians for voting Dr Chakwera and Dr Chilima in power
The Second Vice President of Malawi Congress Party, Hon Harry Mkandawire and Nkhatabay South MP Dr Kenneth Zikhale Ng’oma, today t led a team of Nkhatabay Chiefs to pay their courtesy call to His Excellency The State President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr Lazarus Chakwera at the New State House in Lilongwe on Tuesday
The Chiefs led by their District Commissioner and Chief Fukamapiri, in their speech, thanked God for giving them accommodative leader, whom many Malawians have been crying for, Chief Fukamapiri said ” Indeed our dream has come true and we are hopeful that development will finally reach Nkhatabay now. We want Kande/ Mzimba road opened for business, Orton Chirwa’s son be recognised and decorated on behalf of his father. We need a Technical College in Nkhatabay, M5 lakeshore road re-done and should pass through Usiska mountains and not Mzuzu. We want our sons ; Hon Harry Mkandawire and Hon Zikhale empowered, for they are doing a good job at home, in collaboration with our working DC, Mr Simwaka”.
The Chiefs applauded the State President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for responding and supporting funerals in Nkhatabay, like that of Former MP of Nkhatabay South, late Hon Sam Kandodo Banda, that of late TA Malengamzoma , which the president attended in person prior to ascending to Presidency. Dr Lazarus Chakwera also assisted during the bereavement of late Senior Chief Mbwana of Usiska,
President Chakwera with Nkhatabay Chiefs and Dr Ken Zikhale Ng’oma and Hon Harry Mkandawire
In addition to above, the State President has shown keen interest in supporting major plans of removing the well known death trap Kapesya bridge and to replace it with a dual lane bridge. The chiefs also thanked him for approving piped water to reach Kande in Nkhatabay.
The Senior chief Fukamapiri on behalf of all TA’s in Nkhatabay, classified the President as the most exceptional leader since 1958. Fukamapiri also said that Nkhatabay has been the source of Malawi politics, from which District, Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda was chosen to lead Nyasaland African Congress after beating TDT Banda who got only 1 vote against Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda. Fukamapiri claimed, that the elections were democratically held in Nkhatabay in a Hall which up to now has not been demolished for historical reasons.
Senior senior Chief Mkumbira, in the same meeting, asked the President to consider giving them 4 bags of fertilizer every year to avoid chiefs being caught in scandals, to respect the rule of law which is one major rule in the HI 5, the major reason to back up their claim is that, they welcome many visitors in their homes and fail to provide them with food , since their honoraria is small.
The chiefs wanted installations of Chief Malengamzoma and others, done as soon as possible and they went further to ask the State President to consider giving them a Paramount Chief in Nkhatabay .
The Chiefs were wondering why the past governments, when it comes to politics, they all flock to Nkhatabay and use sons of Nkhatabay to achieve their goals but when they succeed in their agenda, they hardly consider developing the district.
The Chiefs, cited 3rd March as an example of how important Nkhatabay has been to Malawi politics, as many people from Nkhatabay lost their lives on this day in struggle for Malawi’s freedom , yet it is one of the least developed district in Malawi so far.
The advent of Dr Lazarus Chakwera, has brought hope and encouragement to the Tonga’s because in his manifesto he enshrined plans of developing all districts equally, hence plans to build Orton Chirwa International Airport in Mzuzu and a University at Bandawe in commemoration of Dr. David Livingstone and Robert Laws, who brought first education in the land through Bandawe in Nkhatabay excited them all.
These explorers moved up hill to Livingstonia and down South to Dowa and Blantyre, running away from mosquitoes along the lake, that left many of them dead because of Malaria (i.e , Cape Mac Clear and Nkhatabay District.)
Chiefs expressed their gratitude for being welcomed at the New State House for the first time since the palace was built.
Notable faces in that meeting were Minister of Local Government Hon. Berekanyama MP and Deputy Minister, Hon Halima Daud MP, PS for Local Government, Mr Charles Kalima and his Director.
Chiefs have since left for Nkhatabay after delivering their concerns and looked very happy indeed to have met the President, on one to one basis
