Renowned Malawian poet Frank Mtemera has died after receiving medical treatment in Blantyre.
Mtemera died at Mwayiwathu Private Hospital, where he had been admitted for treatment.
He was widely known for his powerful and thought-provoking poems that addressed social issues and reflected the Malawian experience.

Through his poetry, Mtemera often explored issues affecting society, using his work to express the realities, struggles and aspirations of Malawians.
