Navicha Misses Out on Automatic Miss World Top 40 Spot

Miss Malawi First Princess Ireen Navicha has missed out on an automatic Top 40 place at the Miss World 2026 competition.

Navicha’s hopes of securing an automatic spot were dashed after the African Top Model award went to Nigeria’s Tamunosoye Karibi-George.

The World Fashion Designer award for Africa also went to Mauritius’ Shreeya Bokhoree.

Navicha had taken part in the fashion festivities held in Vietnam yesterday, where she walked the runway in outfits prepared by designers.

The event formed part of activities leading up to the Miss World 2026 competition.

Despite missing out on the two fast-track awards, Navicha remains in contention for a place in the Top 40.

She will now have to rely on other remaining fast-track categories to improve her chances of advancing in the competition.

The Malawian beauty will also have to impress during the closed-door interviews, which form part of the selection process.

Public voting is another avenue through which Navicha can strengthen her chances of making it into the next stage.

Her supporters in Malawi and beyond are therefore expected to continue backing her through the available voting platform.

Navicha’s journey at Miss World 2026 remains ongoing as she seeks to represent Malawi on the international stage.
