Revolutionary leader of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, says Malawi’s future needs to remove show much politics for results leadership claiming that in Malawi, there is so much politics of being a President, and ruling party in government.
Jumah said for 63 years of the country’s independence, Malawi has failed to grow economically because of so much politics of big speeches, and big promises without tangible results.
He said the entire system of government in Malawi is full of foxes relying on taxes of people case in point one ESCOM CEO who went to South Africa to buy used up tyres worth billions of Kwachas from a company that has been invading paying tax to government.
The Revolutionary leader said politics of Malawi is just a joke claiming that ever since, Malawi has been depending on tobacco for export so that in return, receive foreign exchange to drive the economy.
He lamented that when the country has earned enough forex from the green gold, crooked individuals divert the forex on to their pockets and the money is spend on luxuries while the country and its citizens benefit nothing.
The Revolutionary leader said ministers in Malawi dress themselves in suits to conferences, seminars, and hotels meeting people to give the country money or for loans but not even one has gone to the Auction Floors to negotiate on the prices of tobacco for buyers to give farmers better prices.
He said politics of so much – ship citing placing bill boards for the President in towns and cities, is just a waste time and resources saying Malawi need action oriented leaders to develop the country from abstract poverty to prosperity.
Jumah said Malawi must move away from being tobacco dependent observing that for 63 years, the country has been exporting the green gold but where is Malawi, the country is nowhere urging Malawians to change their mindset.
He has noted with a great concern that farmers who are producing green gold by working hard in their fields to produce the much needed gold for the country, are so poor if not poorer.
” Tobacco farmers are earning less from their production, urging Malawians to stop dependent on tobacco for export by switching on to other agricultural produces such as soya beans, groundnuts, and macadamia nuts,” said Jumah.
He said time has now come for Malawi to restructure its economy, decorative politics of Doctors and Professors have pushed the country into abstract poverty, they have been looting the country’s public resources.
Jumah has called on Malawians not to celebrate with leaders who are destroying the country, borrowed money in US Dollars will not develop the country, the country has chamba, and precious minerals all in abundant, these can develop the country saying mindset change is the only way for this country to change to the better.
He has finally appealed to Malawians regardless of their political party affiliations, to join Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Movement assuring all that the Movement has not only come to transform the country but to end politics of show much.
