Thousands turn out for Martse’s memorial show

Thousands of people basked in the sunshine for a memorial show to honour hip-hop star Martse who died in a house fire on 23 May last year.

Photographs from Cape Maclear Primary School ground show the ‘spectacular’ turnout for the event, which marked the first anniversary of Martse’s death.

Fans enjoyed performances by Evanz Muzik, Nepman, Wikise, Krazie G, Hyphen, Provoice , Waxy Kay, Crispy Malawi, Fly P and many more.

Prior to the show, the Martse Foundation delivered desks at Cape McLear Primary School to honor Martse’s promise to the school.

The award-winning hip-hop star succumbed to fire burns which he sustained in a house fire at Cape Maclear in Mangochi and was laid to rest on May 25 in Lilongwe.
