UK to inject 40 Million Euros to boost trade with Malawi

UK is to implement a 40 million euros trade project in Malawi through the Trade Mark East Africa with the aim of improving trade infrastructure, enhancing the trade environment, and boosting business competitiveness.

This was disclosed by the Acting UK High Commissioner to Malawi, Dave Beer when he paid a courtesy call on the new Minister of Trade, Sosten Gwengwe.

During the meeting, the two exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the areas of Trade and Private Sector Development.

Gwengwe also took time to commend the UK for its continued support to Malawi and reiterated government’s readiness and commitment to promote Trade Development and Export growth in order to improve Malawi’s trade balance and the economic livelihoods of the citizens.
