Minister of Information Hon. Gospel Kazako has said that after meeting various stakeholders , mainly the Clergy, the taskforce has decided to amend the new Covid-19 prevention measures on the number of people that can gather for church service from ten to hundred.
Speaking at the same briefing Minister of Health Hon. Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, who is co-chair of the taskforce has revealed that the taskforce has also recommended that Airports should open from 1 September when all Covid-19 measures are put in place in all Airports.
The taskforce co-chair further said that the amendment has been made after reaching an agreement that all churches and mosques will be observing wearing of face masks and providing hand washing facilities during church services.
