Mulhaho wa Alomwe warns against using Politics to demean other tribes

Mulhako wa Alhomwe, the lomwe cultural group has warned some citizens to stop using politics to demonize other tribes saying people of various tribes have been coexisting in the country for a long time.

The group made the statement on monday afternoon during a press conference in Blantyre attended by Paramount Chief Kaduya of Machinga, Blessings Makwinja, Pious Mvenya and other Chiefs from Thyolo, Mulanje, Phalombe and Machinga. The group has condemned, a Mr Slaji Phiri for allegedly authoring an audio that demean the Lomwe people with an intention of inciting violence against Lomwe people.

“Mulhako wa Alhomwe has demanded an apology from the Mr Phiri within 48 hours or will take legal action,.

The group says it is suprised that the Ministry of Unity did has not condemned the audio in circulation on social platforms.
