Yunus Sherrif and Peter Wadabwa scored a goal each for Mighty Wanderers to beat Ekwendeni Hammers 2-0 at Kamuzu Stadium on Thursday to narrow the gap between themselves and league leaders, Nyasa Big Bullets.

The Nigerian scored first midway in the first half before substitute Peter Wadabwa came with a powerful header to finish off the northern region side in the 80th minute.

Wister Phiri and Mike Teteh tried their best to level the scores but Wanderers goalkeeper, Richard Chipuwa, who was also voted man of the match made sure that the Lali Lubani boys get the much needed 3 points with his brilliant saves.
