Insubordination with a price

A wife’s responsibilities can be properly understood only in the context of loving, servant leadership by her husband. Be a helper to your husband. Respect your husband. Love your husband. Submit to the leadership of your husband. Helping my husband became who God intended him to be. How it all fits together.

The Deputy Headteacher works with the Headteacher to secure and sustain effective teaching and learning throughout the school. He/she assists the Headteacher in monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and standards of attainment, using relevant benchmarks and setting targets for improvement.

A deputy manager reports directly to the general manager of an organization and is responsible for assisting in the management procedures and operations. Your duties vary depending on the organization, but you typically have responsibilities related to budgeting and distribution of budgeted funds.

The vice president may seem like the second most powerful person in government, but in reality vice presidents act as assistants to the president. Throughout most of governments history, the vice president has had very little influence and a somewhat vague job description. So just what exactly does the vice president do? This article will explore the role and powers of the office of vice president.

The role and powers of the office of vice president.

The main power that the vice president wields is the power to succeed the president in case they are debilitated or die. In case of presidential removal, death, resignation, or disability, that the responsibilities of the vice president shall, “devolve on the vice president.” On that occasion, the vice president is sworn in as president. In America, the swearing in of the vice president as President happened eight times. This has happened only once during our nation’s history in Malawi:

Joyce Banda was sworn in on 7 April 2012 as President of Malawi, the first woman to hold the office. Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo presided over the ceremony which was held at the National Assembly in Lilongwe. After she was sworn in, Banda appealed for national unity.

The vice president’s duties and responsibilities are to succeed as president in the event the current president dies or resigns office, preside over the senate deliberations and cast any tie breaking votes, to serve as a representative of the president, and to serve as a member of the National Security Council.

“President and Vice President
Other than the constitutionally defined powers, the influence of the vice president is determined by the president. Some presidents want their vice presidents to take on more of a leadership role. Others maintain a cool relationship with vice presidents, and they are mostly pushed to the side.

Most modern presidents choose their vice president to balance the ticket. In other words, the vice president offers something different from the president. For example, President Barack Obama selected Joe Biden to be his running mate. Obama lacked extensive foreign policy experience. Biden was an experienced Senator with years of foreign policy experience under his belt.

Other presidential candidates may select vice presidents who live in a different geographic area or appeal to a different kind of voter within the party. Modern presidents have chosen vice presidents with extensive political experience and who are potential presidential candidates themselves.

Kondwani Nankhumwa was second-in-command and next in rank to the leader DPP. He had authority to give orders when the leader was not there, not the other way round.

The price

“When fighting with your boss, protect yourself first

Have you ever felt like your boss is out to get you? Maybe you’re paranoid. But then again, maybe not. There are a lot of bad bosses out there, leaders who aren’t stupid but lack emotional intelligence. Their self-awareness is strikingly low, they’re clueless when it comes to reading people, they can’t control their emotions, and their values seem to be on a permanent leave of absence.

A verbal fight with your boss is serious. You could be fired for cause due to insubordination. When you are angry with your boss, consider these strategies when dealing with a challenging manager:

Remain objective. Try to remain objective if your manager is upset. Take responsibility for your own actions. Establish healthy communication. Proactively manage your emotions. Set personal boundaries. Propose a solution.

However, there is still a widespread belief that arguing with your boss is a sign of disrespect. This view is often based on the assumption that the boss knows best and that questioning their decisions is a challenge to their authority. In reality, respectful disagreement can be a sign of strength and confidence.

It’s healthy to disagree with your boss, and he or she might even appreciate a different perspective — as long as you do it for the right reasons, in the right way. Not all bosses appreciate employees who dare to express conflicting views, particularly in more conservative cultures such as in Asia.

Conclusion

Similarly, when Kondwani Nankhumwa was appointed Vice President of the southern region, and later grabbed the position of leader of opposition in Parliament, he was second-in-command and next in rank to the President of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP ) and had authority to give orders when the leader was not there, not the other way round. Today Nankhumwa is paying the price for his insubordination, nothing else.
