The Malawi Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima is today attending the funeral of his cousin the late Ladaff Major Chilima. The funeral ceremony is taking place at Pasikale Village in the area of Traditional Authority Njewa in Lilongwe.
The late Ladaff Major Chilima was born on 10 July 1974 and died on Friday 17 November 2023 at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after a short illness.
Various government officials including Chief of Staff for State Residences, Prince Kapondamgaga, Cabinet Ministers and UTM Secretary General, Patricia Kaliati, among others are attending the ceremony.
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is being represented by the Minister of Gender, Jean Sendeza.
