Pan-Africanist Jumah Warns: Xenophobic Attacks on Fellow Africans Will Backfire on South Africa

By Vincent Gunde

Pan-African Revolutionary leader Bantu Saunders Jumah, of the Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP), has expressed grave concern over the hostile situation in South Africa, where Africans are attacking fellow Africans and forcing them to return to their respective countries of origin.

Jumah said a number of businesses run by Africans in South Africa have been destroyed and property looted, describing the situation as a recipe for stagnation in the SADC region.

He said countries such as Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola, Eswatini, and Namibia cannot sit back and watch while their citizens are being killed in South Africa.

Foreigners being deported from RSA

Speaking through the voice of the Revolutionaries, Jumah noted that Ghana has started airlifting its citizens trapped by xenophobic violence in South Africa. He added that this speaks for itself, as South African nationals in Ghana are now on the verge of being deported, warning that this is a recipe for war against South Africa.

Jumah said the South African people have forgotten that in all SADC countries, there are large shops selling South African products, and those businesses will also face a hostile environment.

He said the people of South Africa are failing to think beyond the violence. “They are using xenophobia to destroy others, not knowing that they are destroying themselves. Other countries are preparing for war with South Africa.”

The revolutionary leader said that in South Africa, there are Bantu people who claim they are only divided because of colonial borders, yet they are one people with black skin. But today, South Africa is chasing them as foreigners.

He said South Africans have allowed themselves to be ruled by dark forces, turning against their fellow black people, and have set a deadline of 30th June 2026 for all foreigners to leave South Africa.

“If this day comes, South Africa will be in trouble. All countries in the SADC region and other African nations will rise up against South Africa,” said Jumah.

He questioned why South Africans are allowing themselves to turn against their fellow black people, after having allowed colonial masters to live in the country and call South Africa their home. He reminded them that the continent of Africa belongs to them.

Jumah said the government and political parties in South Africa are busy debating while human beings are being treated like wild animals, and no one is caring for an African’s right to live — especially if one is a foreigner.

He said regarding Malawi, he has learned that 123 buses have been hired to ferry people from South Africa back to Malawi. “This is not a solution,” he said. “They have nothing to do, and they will go back to toiling for food and everyday survival in South Africa.”

Jumah said this must serve as a lesson to Malawi that it has gold, uranium, bauxite, coal and other minerals. The government must invest in these resources to get the country’s economy on track so that many Malawians will be prevented from going to South Africa. “It is better for them to die here than to die in a foreign country,” he said.
