Bullets Through To The CECAFA Kagame Cup Semis

Nyasa Big Bullets are through the semi-finals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup after beating Atlabara FC of South Sudan 2-0 in their Group A match that took place at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The game was a must-win for The People’s Team to secure a spot in the semi-final stage of the competition.

Bullets scored the first goal through Nickson Nyasulu in the 2nd minute of the game before Hassan Kajoke doubled the lead 32 minutes later.

Atlabara had the chance to reduce the score line but Tombe Apollo missed from the penalty spot.

After the game, Bullets Assistant Coach Peter Mponda said he was delighted with the victory.

“I am very happy with the way the boys have played today. It was a must win game for us and we really played as a team, that’s why we have managed to secure this very important victory,” he said.

Bullets are using the competition as part of preparations for Caf Champions League slated to start in September.
